Gemini is the KVM host that runs the NIC virtualized backend infrastructure. It is destined to replace Fripp, Mecha and Motion.

Virtualization
Gemini is a former ACISS fat node.
It currently hosts five virtual machines:
- Pliny - replacement for Motion (web host)
- Cato - replacement for Fripp (DNS, LDAP)
- Galen - replacement for Mecha / Neuroapp (...)
- Custodes - planned handler of licence manager daemons
- Hector - CentOS-8 node for users to begin testing software in prep for OS upgrades
