voltar.nic.uoregon.edu

Pascal / Volta-class GPU testbed system. Has a local license for a GPU-accelerating compiler.

Voltar has hardware upgrades coming soon (to dual 16 core Cascade Lake and 256GB memory).

Voltar runs the DCV remote high performance desktop server. To utilize this, while SSHed into Voltar, use

user$ dcv help # show all commands
user$ dcv list-sessions
user$ dcv create-session FOO
user$ dcv close-session FOO

Then, take your browser to https://voltar.nic.uoregon.edu:8442/#FOO and you will be able to log into to a CentOS desktop using your credentials, in your browser.

Please do not leave sessions open forever when you are done. Our license for sessions is not unlimited!
