Gary is OACISS' Cray CPE system (named for Gary Seven whom the TOS crew met after being slingshotted around a "dark sun"). It has all the latest in AMD hardware and the Cray Programming Environment.

Gary also runs a VM, gary-sles, which is the same hardware but running SLES instead of RHEL.

Because certain elements of CPE depend on jobs running on a scheduler, both gary and gary-sles are part of the Slurm scheduler running on Orthus.
